Hand lettering, narrative pages and five colour plates, rebuilt as a readable illustrated selection.
Nine selected source sheets include the title, contents, two narrative pages and five colour illustrations. Eight partial reconstructed typefaces cover the hand lettering, titles and folios. The blue initial S is a separate searchable glyph rebuilt from its source outline; two missing characters use a separate fallback font.
Title ornaments, heading placement and a terminal ornament follow the source composition. Ordinary text, vector ornaments and illustrations remain separate objects; some decorative initials remain graphics.
Generative illustration reconstruction changes faces, brushwork, signatures and colour. This is a restoration study, not a facsimile. Narrative excerpts can continue beyond the selection.

Historical typefaces · The Ship that Sailed to Mars
Eight partial typefaces capture the body hand, contents lettering, title and small capitals, two chapter-capital styles, imprint and folios. The broad chapter capitals retain the proportions of the Prince heading.
Repeated handwritten letters vary in the source. A reusable glyph represents a chosen form, not every individual impression. These are partial sets with approximate spacing; an additional blue S in the PDF is a separate source glyph. The source words shown here were used during reconstruction; they are not independent accuracy tests. Specimens are proportionally sized for display, without stretching a word to match the source width.
These are experimental typefaces. A printed proof has not been reviewed. A distribution license has not been specified, so no standalone font download or CC0 release is offered. Explore the restoration methods →

The item record lists CC BY 4.0, while the library’s general terms state CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Those differing terms require clarification before treating the digital copy as freely reusable. Typography and artwork have been reconstructed and comparison images resized; no CC0 claim is made.
The source project checked the PDF export against canonical text, page bounds, source crops and final compositions. No independent second editorial proofread was performed; reconstructed detail is interpretive, not a facsimile.
PDF samples and font demonstrations are provided for inspection, without a reuse license. Any separately released CC0 SVG package is labelled beside its download. Contact us about other uses.
