A clear scope, from the start.
An enquiry is free and does not create an order. The scope and price of any paid work are agreed in writing before it begins.

A digital service
The service reconstructs digital editions from supplied scans and files. It does not repair physical books, bindings or paper. The published examples are demonstrations made by the project owner, not claims of completed client commissions.
Scope and approval
Methods, language, proofreading depth, image treatment, commentary, deliverables, schedule, price and revisions are agreed before work begins. Initial enquiries and a restoration sample of a few pages are free, with no obligation to proceed with a paid order. An enquiry is not an automatic order.
Any paid work requires a separate written agreement identifying the supplier and customer, the currency, total price and taxes, payment stages, delivery dates, acceptance criteria, revisions, cancellation and refund arrangements. You can review and correct that agreement before accepting. These enquiry terms do not replace it.
Source text and images
Source-faithful restoration preserves the wording. Editing is separately agreed and documented. Generative image reconstruction is an optional interpretation, not an exact facsimile. Unclear text is flagged rather than silently invented.
Proofreading is limited to the level expressly agreed for the project. A technical export check is not full source proofreading. Historical spelling, punctuation and terminology may be retained. Print specifications, accessibility certification and formats beyond the agreed deliverables require separate agreement.
Rights and confidentiality
The requested processing and intended use need an applicable legal basis. Owning a physical book alone does not establish this. Portfolio use requires separate permission. Confidentiality and external processing arrangements must be agreed before files are shared.
We use the materials you supply only for the agreed enquiry or project. Any third-party processing, including generative AI, must be within the approved methods. No permission to publish your book or use it for AI training is obtained by submitting an enquiry. Rights in newly created deliverables and permission for their intended uses must be addressed in the written project agreement.
Cancellation, questions and consumer rights
You can withdraw a free enquiry by contacting us. For a paid project, cancellation, charges for work already approved and refunds must be explained before you accept the quote. Nothing on this page excludes mandatory consumer rights or limits any statutory cancellation or refund right. Online delivery does not remove the laws that apply to the supplier or customer.
