Book Remaster uses your enquiry information to discuss your project and respond by email. It is not used to subscribe you to marketing.

The enquiry form
The enquiry form sends the fields you enter through DigitalOcean to Google Workspace using the Gmail API. The server stores a request identifier, a digest and a send status to prevent duplicate sends; it does not store form contents in that journal. The sender’s Google mailbox and the recipient mailbox receive the email. Book Remaster uses Google Workspace for these mailboxes.
What we collect and why
To answer an enquiry, we need your name, email, book language, approximate extent and project description. Other project preferences and contact details are optional. We use this information to answer you, clarify the scope and prepare a quote if requested. Submitting the form asks us to respond; it does not subscribe you to marketing or create an order.
The server uses your connection IP address to limit abusive requests. Short-lived quota counters store a salted hash of the address (or IPv6 network), not the raw address, and survive server restarts. Address counters expire after one hour; the rotating salt and aggregate daily counter expire after 24 hours and are cleared on the next request. Its delivery journal contains only a request reference, a digest of the submitted fields and a delivery status, not the form contents. Diagnostic logs may contain request references, connection details and errors. We do not deliberately log your message or email credentials.
Providers and international processing
DigitalOcean hosts the site and enquiry handler. Google Workspace processes the enquiry emails through the Gmail API. Cloudflare manages DNS and, when enabled, proxies website traffic. Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and connection signals to protect the enquiry form from automated abuse; our server validates its token before sending an enquiry. These providers process information needed to deliver and protect their services. Information may be processed outside Canada under the providers' arrangements and the laws of those countries; we do not promise Canada-only storage.
We do not sell enquiry information or use it for advertising. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to handle a security incident or legal claim.
Retention
Enquiries that do not become orders are removed from the working mailbox within 90 days of the last contact. The minimal delivery journal is kept for 90 days after its last update and is cleared by the server's scheduled cleanup. Provider recovery copies may take longer to disappear under the provider's backup and deletion processes.
If an enquiry becomes an order, the agreed project and legally required accounting records have a separate retention period, explained with the order. A legal preservation requirement or an unresolved access request can delay deletion of the records concerned. We keep only the records needed for that purpose.
Your choices and requests
You can use the contact email above to ask what personal information we hold, request access or correction, withdraw your enquiry, ask for deletion, or raise a privacy concern. The owner is responsible for privacy requests. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity. We normally respond to access requests within 30 calendar days; if a permitted extension or restriction applies, we explain it. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies and site resources
Images, styles and the site's own scripts are served from this site. The enquiry form additionally loads Cloudflare Turnstile from challenges.cloudflare.com for security verification. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. The site code has no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, external fonts or browser storage for form contents. Your browser controls autofill and page-history restoration. Ordinary server and provider security processing can still occur.
Your book’s contents
Please do not enter confidential book content in this form. File sharing and any processing restrictions will be agreed separately. Supplying material for an enquiry will not grant permission to display it in a portfolio.
